DFS College Basketball: Wednesday Preview

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

The Wednesday College Basketball action heats up with 10 game slates on both sites with five top-25 teams taking the court tonight. DraftKings features the $15 Pull Up Jumper with a $5,000 top prize, while FanDuel highlights their $9 All-American contest and $1,000 to first.

Top Players

Keve Aluma, F, Virginia Tech ($8,300 DK, $7,000 FD)

Aluma had an efficient performance in the Hokies' first meeting with N.C. State, posting 18 points and six rebounds, but that's more like his floor against a team that ranks a lowly 196th in KenPom's defensive efficiency metric. The Wolfpack have given up a double-double to opposing post players in each of their last two games, and Aluma has three this season. He's been their clear workhorse this season, taking 29.2 percent of the team's shots when he's on the floor.

Mike Miles, G, TCU ($7,800 DK)

Miles was held in check last time out against Oklahoma, being held to single digits for the first time all season. It was a rare off night for the point guard who had posted at least 34 fantasy points in each of his previous three games. While Oklahoma State has been sound defensively this season, they do like to push the pace, and Miles is able to put up fantasy points in a variety of ways while he also rarely comes off the floor.

Middle Tier

 Dylan Addae-Wusu, G, St. John's ($6,800 DK, $7,700 FD)

After originally starting the season coming off the bench, Addae-Wusu has been thrusted into a starting role during a breakthrough sophomore season, reaching double figures in 8-of-9 starts. The point guard has no problems contributing across the stat sheet, averaging 5.4 assists as a starter while also being active on the glass. He also gets a nice $900 discount compared to his FanDuel salary.

 Alex O'Connell, G, Creighton ($5,600 DK, $5,400 FD)

A matchup with St. John's is always one to look to take advantage of, as the Red Storm create extra possessions with their pace and are allowing over 80 points through four conference games thus far. O'Connell has emerged as a reliable third option for Creighton to go along with Ryan Kalkbrenner and Ryan Hawkins but at a much cheaper salary. He's posted a pair of 30-point fantasy performances over his last three games.

Values

El Ellis, G, Louisville ($4,100 DK)

Louisville continues to look for answers offensively as they've struggled to score consistently, leading to Ellis joining the starting lineup over the last two games. He's shown himself to be a capable three-point shooter at 35 percent and also has a team-high 24.8 percent usage rate. A matchup against a sub .500 Boston College squad that ranks 312th in three-point percentage defense should be a good spot to plug Ellis into your lineup.

James Karnik, F, Boston College ($3,700 DK)

Karnik is a nice low-cost lineup filler, coming off consecutive 15-point fantasy games including a 17-point, six rebound game against Clemson. He's been a steady option for Boston College this season, shooting 57 percent from inside-the-arc with a pair of double-doubles. His minutes have been a bit sporadic, but he does have 30 minute upside when he's able to stay out of foul trouble and playing well.
