2024 Tournament PreviewThe WAC regular-season and tournament champion, Grand Canyon is in the Big Dance for the third time in four seasons. With a stellar 29-4 record that includes a signature win over San Diego State and two more Quad 2 victories, the Antelopes were at-large candidates before losing back-to-back games in late February. A dangerous mid-major, GCU is led by WAC Player of the Year Tyon Grant-Foster (19.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg) on the wing. In the paint, 6-10 Duke Brennan (7.1 ppg, 6.8 rpg) and 6-7 Gabe McGlothan (13.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg ) create put-back opportunities with a top-30 offensive rebounding rate and hold opponents to 44.4 percent shooting on 2-pointers, 10th lowest in the nation. McGlothan also steps out to shoot a team-high 40.8 percent from long range, while junior guard Ray Harrison (13.7 ppg, 3.9 apg) is a secondary threat. The Lopes enter the Tournament with one of the better mid-major resumes.
