Hamilton announced Monday that Oliver has elected to retire.

ANALYSIS
Prior to making the move to the CFL in 2020, the 30-year-old running back spent his first five seasons as a professional in the NFL, followed by one year in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football. Oliver will end up retiring from the sport without having ever played a down in the CFL, as the league cancelled its 2020 season shortly after he signed with Hamilton.
