Latest Fantasy Rumors
Candidate for bridge deal
Drysdale is expected to sign a bridge deal with the Ducks, rather than a long-term contract, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
Drysdale missed all but eight games last year, sitting out most of the season while recovering from shoulder surgery. While he projects as a future pillar of the Ducks' defense, the unsigned restricted free agent will likely have to settle for a short-term contract and prove his health before cashing in big a few years down the road.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Playing nearly the entirety of his first full NHL campaign at age 19, Drysdale tallied 32 points in 81 games while averaging nearly 20 minutes (19:53) of ice time per game. He was particularly effective with the man advantage, adding a dozen power-play points. That's the good news. The bad news is that Drysdale posted a horrific minus-26 rating, although that was more the result of Ducks' poor play as a team as opposed to anything Drysdale himself did wrong. Anaheim's signing of John Klingberg to a one-year, $7 million deal in free agency could very well serve to curtail Drysdale's power-play time, which means he could struggle for standard league value. He's still a fine keeper/dynasty asset.
