Rossi is expected to play for Team Austria in the IIHF World Championship in May, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Rossi was solid in his first full NHL season in 2023-24, picking up 21 goals, 40 points and 167 shots on net while averaging 16:44 of ice time through 82 games with the Wild. He'll likely take on a prominent role for Austria during May's tourney.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Rossi missed the entire 2020-21 season due to the side effects of a positive COVID-19 test, so all that mattered this past year was that he returned to full health. He passed that test with flying colors, playing 63 games for Minnesota's AHL affiliate in Iowa and posting 53 points. Rossi also saw a brief two-game stint with the Wild. Rossi was widely viewed as the most NHL-ready player in the 2020 draft behind No. 1 overall pick Alexis Lafreniere, so he should have a real chance to crack the Wild lineup this coming season. Rossi, the No. 9 overall pick in that same draft, is a worthy dart throw in deeper fantasy formats.
