Hoping to stay with Flames
Kylington would like to re-sign with Calgary, telling reporters Friday, "I want to stay. I like it here," per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan. Additionally, the blueliner won't be joining Sweden for the 2024 IIHF World Championship.
ANALYSIS
Kylington played in 33 games this season after sitting out all of the 2022-23 campaign. In those appearances, the 26-year-old Stockholm native notched three goals on 42 shots, five assists and 24 hits. In a full 82-game campaign, Kylington should be capable of challenging for the 30-point threshold, a mark he reached back in 2021-22.

Kylington managed just 16 points in 95 games over parts of his first four NHL seasons, but he established himself as a full-time regular for Calgary last year, posting nine goals and 31 points in 73 games. The presence of Rasmus Andersson and Noah Hanifin limited Kylington to just 1:04 of power-play time per game, which certainly limits his ceiling from a fantasy perspective. Kylington could threaten 20 minutes worth of playing time a night this upcoming season, so a repeat performance is certainly possible, but there isn't much upside here.
