Matched up with Ige

Runs winning streak to five
Murphy defeated Josh Culibao via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
What began as a competitive fight, turned into a Murphy rout. When all was said and done, Lerone finished with an 87-40 edge in total strikes landed, connected on 3-of-5 takedowns for 7:38 worth of control time and scored a knockdown. Virtually all that damage came in Round 3 following a Murphy body kick which did all sorts of damage despite the fact it appeared to barely graze Culibao's stomach. Murphy has now won five in a row and remains undefeated as a professional. He's going to get a name opponent his next time out, and he deserves it.

Gets a friendly London date
Murphy will take on Josh Culibao in a featherweight matchup at UFC London on July 22, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Murphy picked up his fourth consecutive UFC win in March, when he managed to take a split decision from Gabriel Santos despite struggling with takedown defense. He now faces a fighter in Culibao who has a three-fight winning streak of his own, but also has yet to record a takedown i five UFC fights. Both men measure up similarly from a physical standpoint, while Murphy has a slight striking volume edge. The home crowd will be behind Murphy, of course.

Wins streak hits four
Murphy defeated Gabriel Santos via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 286 on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
Fighting for the first time since October 2021, Murphy looked good, although he should consider himself fortunate two of the three judges thought he did enough to win. Lerone's cardio was excellent, and he got stronger as the fight progressed, but he did allow Santos to land 5-of-11 takedown attempts, which very easily could have cost him the bout. Otherwise, Lerone looked good. Murphy hits hard and is a solid athlete. There's plenty to be excited about here. Now, Murphy just needs to compete in the Octagon on a consistent basis. He's won four in a row and remains undefeated (4-0-1) in five fights with the UFC.
