Dvorak will look to turn things around against a young and upcoming fighter in the division who has won four straight bouts to kick off his UFC career. Dvorak, on the other hand, has lost three consecutive decisions after winning his first three fights in the promotion. The UFC's flyweight division is thin, but that doesn't mean Dvorak can be dropping fights to late-notice opponents, especially when he enters as a massive -260 favorite. To be fair, Dvorak didn't fight poorly. He won the first round and was cruising in Round 2 until Erceg landed a couple big shots and forced Dvorak to the mat. David ended up fighting off multiple deep guillotine attempts, and although he survived the round, his gas tank appeared compromised, allowing Erceg to pick up the pace and win Round 3. It's a potential career-altering setback for Dvorak, as he has now lost three straight on the heels of three straight wins to begin his time with the company. There's no guarantee he gets another chance.

In desperate need of a rebound effort on the heels of his unanimous decision defeat to Matheus Nicolau last March, Dvorak seemed out of sorts for virtually the entire fight. He absorbed far too many power shots from Kape and didn't handle them particularly well despite the fact Dvorak managed to see the final bell. He turned a pair of successful takedowns into 2:42 worth of control time, but that was about the only positive of the evening for Dvorak.
