Daukaus lost to Eryk Anders via TKO (punches) at 2:45 of Round 2 at UFC on ESPN 42 on Saturday in Orlando.

It was another dreadful performance from Daukaus, who has shown far more bad than good since his June 2020 UFC debut. This latest stinker came as a -230 favorite. Daukaus spent the entirety of the bout serving as a punching bag for Anders. Kyle's biggest issue during his time with the company, particularly of late, has been how often he gets hit and how poorly he handles it when he does. Daukaus has never really been able to get to his ground game because he's so ineffective on the feet. Now 1-3 (1NC) in his past five fights dating back to May 2021, time is running out for the 29-year-old Pennsylvania native.

Still a bit wobbly from the first shot, Daukaus ate a knee to the face which forced him to the mat and led to referee Mike Beltran stepping in. Daukaus has shown little in his first half-dozen bouts with the UFC, posting a 2-3 (1NC) mark. No-show defeats such as this one in a fight he was supposed to win certainly won't help his cause moving forward.
