Picks up fifth straight win
Ulberg defeated Da Woon Jung via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:49 of Round 3 at UFC 293 on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
ANALYSIS
It was another stellar performance from Ulberg in what would end up being his fifth straight win and his fourth in a row via stoppage. Blessed with a massive power and speed edge over his opponent, Ulberg hammered Jung on the feet, with a Round 2 knockdown being the biggest moment of the fight. With Carlos seemingly tiring in the closing minute, he managed to force Jung to the mat and choke him out, although it took looking at replay after the final bell rang before referee Herb Dean realized it. The 32-year-old Kiwi is due a bump up in competition in his next time out.

Taking on Jung
Ulberg will fight Da Woon Jung in a light heavyweight fight at a UFC event on September 9, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Ulberg's next chance to extend his four-fight win streak comes at the hands of Jung. The two fighters stand at the same 6-foot-4 height, though Jung sports a one-inch reach advantage. Ulberg lands 8.13 significant strikes per minute, much higher than Jung's 3.39. Jung will likely try and take the fight to the ground instead of boxing with Ulberg.

Easily dispatches Ihor Potieria
Ulberg defeated Ihor Potieria via TKO (punches) at 2:09 of Round 1 at UFC on ABC 4 on Saturday in Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
You know a fighter has crazy power when they barely appear to graze their opposition with a strike and they go down regardless, as Potieria did here. Ulberg clipped Ihor behind the ear midway through Round 1, at which point the latter dropped to the mat and the former closed the show. A byproduct of the result was a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus heading Ulberg's way. A product of Dana White's Contender Series, Ulberg began his official company run with a knockout loss to Kennedy Nzechukwu in March 2021, but he's won four straight since, including the last three via knockout. Ulberg will be 32 years of age this coming November, so the UFC mine as well give him a significant push and see what exactly they have on their hands here. Carlos has earned the opportunity.
