Ronderos lost to Clayton Carpenter via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:13 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Making his second UFC appearance in just his sixth professional fight, Ronderos was not competitive once again. He managed to land an early takedown on Carpenter and appeared to be in a dominant position on the mat only to get reversed and allow his opponent to take his back. Ronderos was tapping out moments later. Having turned 28 years of age the day before this event and with zero pedigree to his name, Ronderos, who has now been submitted in the first round in each of his first two fights with the company, is far from guaranteed a third opportunity.
