7-second KO win in UFC debut
June 12, 2021
McKinney defeated Matt Frevola via KO (punch) at 0:07 of Round 1 at UFC 263 on Saturday in Glendale, Arizona.
Stepping in for an injured Frank Camacho (car accident), McKinney, who was making his UFC debut, is now the proud owner of the quickest knockout in UFC lightweight history. All it took was a one-two combination up the middle to turn Frevola's lights out. McKinney appeared to injure his knee in the celebration following the stoppage, but the $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus he will almost certainly receive should help dull the pain (it was later announced that he did not get an official bonus despite Dana White's claim he'll see an "unofficial" one). Hopefully the knee a minor issue.
