Contact with Lance Stroll
Formula One
April 23, 2024
Ricciardo would suffer damage after contact with Lance Stroll and finished 18th in the Chinese Grand Prix F1 race at Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The RB Racing veteran would be locked into a back-field battle until the lap 20 virtual safety car for Valtteri Bottas' engine failure. The restart on lap 23 would be pure chaos and Ricciardo would get caught in a stack up and rear-ended by Lance Stroll. The RB would go airborne from the contact and suffer major damage on the rear end. Ricciardo would limp around the track until eventually retiring on lap 33 from the damage sustained in that incident. He'll look to rebound next round out in Miami.
