2024 Projections
2023 Fantasy Outlook
White never projected as a viable starter in the NFL, both for skill limitations and even more so because of durability. He plays with a ferocious motor and inflicts punishment on both tacklers and himself, which is why he had trouble staying healthy at Georgia. He had two ACL tears early in his collegiate career and then missed two games late last season with an ankle injury. When White has a lane to hit, his speed usually gets him through, but unfortunately he didn't get much chance to prove that as a 2022 fourth-round pick, taking just 17 carries in 14 games last season. If White can't make it as a rushing specialist in the NFL, he likely won't make it at all because pass-catching is not part of his game. And as long as workhorse Josh Jacobs is healthy, White doesn't figure to see many carries. Read Past Outlooks

Backfield depth added by Las Vegas
White is the Raiders' expected starter at running back following the departure of Josh Jacobs, with the recently signed Alexander Mattison likely to serve as his top backup, according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Once Jacobs headed to Green Bay, it seemed inevitable that the Raiders would fortify their running back corps, either through free agency, the draft, or both. In Mattison, the team adds a player who made 13 starts for the Vikings last season, but at this stage it appears as though White -- who had an impressive finish to the 2023 regular season -- has the inside track to lead Las Vegas' backfield in 2024. In such a scenario, White would maintain fantasy utility, though his upside in that regard could hinge on how much volume he cedes to Mattison, who has three-down experience. Meanwhile, Ameer Abdullah remains on hand to provide a change-of-pace presence, with Brittain Brown, Sincere McCormick and Tyreik McAllister also in the mix.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Top of depth chart for now
White could head into the season as the Raiders' lead running back after Josh Jacobs signed with the Packers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
After Jacobs' departure, White heads a Las Vegas backfield that also currently includes Ameer Abdullah and Brandon Bolden. White impressed over the final weeks of the 2023 campaign, racking up 397 yards on 4.7 yards per carry over four games while Jacobs was sidelined, and the Raiders seem to have confidence in the 2022 fourth-round pick. Nonetheless, it wouldn't be a surprise if the team added another back in this year's draft.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
White was selected in the fourth round of this year’s draft and could be atop the depth chart for
the Raiders as soon as next season with both Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake in the final years
of their contracts. White ran a surprising 4.40 40 at the combine, and at Georgia he ran with
power while primarily taking carries between the tackles and ceding passing-down work to
fellow 2022 draft pick James Cook (Buffalo, Round 2). White's lack of playing time on passing
downs may continue in the pros, but the bigger concern is that he's already undergone ACL
surgery on both knees. Regardless, the rookie could find himself one injury away from a starting
job if he can win a role this summer as Jacobs' backup for early downs.
